Metanomics website
Metanomics explores the serious uses of virtual worlds. They are a passionate community with an interest in understanding the evolving use of virtual world technologies. They are best known for their weekly show which is broadcast before a live “studio audience” and on the Web. The show is broadcast Wednesdays at 12:00 pm Pacific Time and is then archived on their website and at Treet.TV.
Designed by our friends at Remedy Communications, this was one of the more complicated Expression Engine implementations that we've undertaken. Here is a small list of the functionality that we built into EE:
- The ability to add/edit/delete shows and to tag related shows. The user can manage guest speaker and their speaker notes.
- Sponsorship module to manage all of the site sponsors. There are three levels of sponsors and each can be tagged to a video for specific sponsorship roles.
- Current show live link - there is a specific link that appears on the home page from 30 minutes before a show starts until 30 minutes after it ends
